As the mother of three boys, the day is approaching when they will all be shaving. I am taking advantage of coupon match-ups to start stocking up on disposable razors and other shaving essentials now! Joshua and Logan will probably start shaving before, or very near the same time as Aaron, and with them all being so close in age, it will be very expensive to have 4 males in the house that all need to shave every day. By getting in the routine of shopping the sales and clipping coupons, it will help ease the burden of the expense, at least a little!
All three of them love to watch their dad shave, they think it is so “cool”. Then, they look in the mirror to check and see if any “man” hair has grown overnight. On the plus side, at least they are paying attention to the routine, and what needs to be done to ensure proper personal grooming etiquette in the future.
Because they are old enough, that they need to wash their face with face wash twice a day, I have let them start “some” grooming, and we are in the early stages of a routine. They get to wash their face before they brush their teeth in the mornings and at night. Then, we have some play “
after shave lotion” that I let them use. I searched on the internet for the idea Sometimes, they like to pretend that they are using the washcloth to “Shave” their face. They’ll wrap a section around a finger and shave the face wash off. I keep trying to explain to them that they need to enjoy this time now when they don’t HAVE to shave, because once they start shaving for real, it will be a daily chore from that point on. But, to them, it’s cool and they want to do it. Not to mention, that mommy is not quite ready for her little boys to grow up that fast, and be doing all of these grown up activities! I know I can’t keep them little forever, I just want to enjoy this time while I can
This is a sponsored post for The Art of Shaving, however, all the points and views are my own.
